Speaking of the Patriarchs, just what are some of the promises that God made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob?  The main promise is that all nations of the earth will be blessed through their descendants.  The fufillment of that is in their desendant Yeshua (Jesus),  who is the Jewish Messiah and the Savior of the world.   Through him the world has truly been blessed!

To Abraham (Avraham in Hebrew) God said:

"As for me, this is my covenant with you:  you will be the father of many nations.  Your name will no longer be Avram [exalted father], but your name will be Avraham [father of many], because I have made you the father of many nations.  I will cause you to be very fruitful.  I will make nations of you, kings will descend from you." Genesis 17:4-6

"I am establishing my covenant between me and you, along with your descendants after you, generation after generation, as an everlasting covenant, to be God for you and for your descendants after you.  I will give you and your descendants after you the land in which you are now foreigners, all the land of Kena'an, as a permanent possession; and I will be their God."  Genesis 17:7-8

"I will most certainly bless you;  and I will most certainly increase your descendants to as many as there are stars in the sky or grains of sand on the seashore.  Your descendants will possess the cities of their enemies, and by your descendants all the nations of the earth will be blessed -- because you obeyed my order."
Genesis 22:17-18

To Isaac (Yitz'chak in Hebrew) God said:

"I will fulfill the oath which I swore to Avraham your father -- I will make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky, I will give all these lands to your descendants, and by your descendants all the nations of the earth will bless themselves." Genesis 26:3-4

To Jacob (Ya'akov in Hebrew) God said:

"I am Adonai, the God of Avraham your father and the God of Yitz'chak.   The land on which you are lying I will give to you and to your descendants.   Your descendants will be as numerous as the grains of dust on the earth.  You will expand to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south.  By you and your descendants all the families of the earth will be blessed.  Look, I am with you.   I will guard you wherever you go, and I will bring you back into this land, because I won't leave you until I have done what I have promised you." Genesis 28:13-15
