The Yamim Noraim (the Awesome Days) are the days of teshuva (returning or repenting). These are the ten days, of repentance, between the Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashana)  and the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). These are days of introspection, and hopefully, growth and change.

As believers in Yeshua (Jesus), we know that we can repent and be forgiven daily.   However, it is still traditional among Messianic Jews to take these 10 days and ask the Lord to search our hearts in order to repent.

We still celebrate all of the festivals and any Jewish traditions that can be used to build our faith in Yeshua.  Each biblical festival points to Yeshua.  The spring festivals (Passover, First Fruits, Pentecost) have all been fulfilled in the first coming of Yeshua.  The fall festivals (Feast of Trumpets, Day of Atonement, Feast of Tabernacles) will all be fulfilled in the second coming.
